Jim Frank
Chief Executive Officer and President
A native of Chicago, Jim joined Wheels in 1967 after receiving a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford Business School. He assumed the duties of President and CEO in 1974.
Jim has served as both President and Chairperson of the American Automobile Leasing Association (AALA), and is presently a member of its Board of Directors and Chairman of the Federal Tax and Legislation Committee. As former chair of the AALA Legislative Committee, he participated in numerous successful industry efforts aimed at helping shape regulatory and legislative issues affecting fleets. He also has chaired an Industry Committee which represented the views of fleet users regarding Federal Personal Use Legislation.
Jim was also instrumental in leading fleet management into the computer age, designing and implementing the first IT systems which were used to collect a wide range of information and deliver that data to fleet managers in a way that helped them better manage their fleets. These systems became the foundation of the technology being used today to manage fleets across the U.S.
Jim has served as President of the Michael Reese Medical Research Institute Council Junior Board. He is presently a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago Hospitals, a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago, and a member of the Board of Overseers of the Thayer Engineering School at Dartmouth College.
Mary Ann O'Dwyer
Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations, Chief Financial Officer and Director
Mary Ann O’Dwyer joined Wheels as Controller in 1991 and was promoted to Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer in 1994. Since her promotion to Senior Vice President in 2000, Mary Ann’s responsibilities have increased to include virtually every facet of our business.
Today, Mary Ann is responsible for Treasury, Finance and Accounting, Vehicle Acquisitions, Remarketing, Engineering and Quality, Title and Registration, Vendor Management, Client Services, Driver Services, Collision Management and Maintenance Assistance. Mary Ann has also been a member of Wheels’ Board of Directors since 2001.
Prior to joining Wheels, Mary Ann spent 11 years with CC Industries, a privately-held company of the Crown Family of Chicago. While with the Crown organization, she worked in multiple industries and held diverse financial, tax, MIS and operating positions. She also actively participated in acquisition/divestiture projects which included due diligence and integration activities. Mary Ann’s professional career started at Ernst & Young, where she was employed during college and joined the audit staff in 1978.
Mary Ann received her Bachelor of Science degree from DePaul University and a Master of Science from Benedictine University. She is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a Director of the Board of Deluxe Corporation, where she serves on the Audit Committee and is Chair of the Finance Committee.
Scott Pattullo
Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Scott joined Wheels in 1998 with experience from General Motors, A.T. Kearney and Nutrasweet. As Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Account Management, Scott oversees product management, business development, account transition, account management and communications.
He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech University and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Daniel Z. Frank
President of Wheels Services
Dan joined Wheels in 1986 and has filled numerous roles including positions in IT, Marketing Strategic Planning and Finance. Dan provided leadership in the development of Wheels’ Canadian, Puerto Rican and Mexican divisions, and was responsible for building Wheels’ middle market operations.
Today, Dan is responsible for the Wheels Services business, which includes services such as maintenance management, accident repair, safety, telematics and fuel management. The business generates annual revenues in excess of $750 million.
In addition to more than eleven years at Wheels, Dan has worked in systems development at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), environmental management for the Department of the Interior, and he conceptualized, financed and built an online restaurant supply business which he successfully sold to a larger distributor.
Dan is on the Board of Directors of the American Automobile Leasing Association (AALA) and currently serves as Vice President of Federal Affairs.
He graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and earned his MBA at Stanford University.
Steven Loos
Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer
Steven joined Wheels in 2006 with more than 20 years of information technology leadership experience at United Airlines, Delco Remy International and Kellogg. Over his career he has implemented numerous client-based technology programs, enabling the development of systems and programs that are built to meet and anticipate client needs on an ongoing basis. At Wheels he leads all technology development and management teams, including our client-facing systems, internal application, business continuance and systems infrastructure.
Steven has a BBA from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and serves on the board of directors for a Chicago area-based public school education foundation.
Shlomo Crandus
Vice President, Finance
Shlomo Crandus joined the Wheels management team in 2006. He is responsible for Accounting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Credit, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Treasury as well as external relationships related to audit, tax, and legal matters.
Shlomo brings to Wheels almost 20 years of extensive finance and treasury experience, including securitization and debt issuance in both the public and private markets, as well as a deep understanding of accounting, control, and risk management from his audit experience.
Prior to Wheels, Shlomo spent eight years at Transamerica Finance Corporation where he held progressively larger responsibilities in internal audit and treasury, ultimately attaining the position of Senior Vice President and Treasurer. Before his career at Transamerica, Shlomo spent eight years in public accounting primarily at KPMG where he rose to the level of Senior Audit Manager, specializing in banking and insurance.
Shlomo has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago specializing in Marketing and Finance, both of which were received with honors. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Norman Din
Vice President, Client Relations
Norman Din joined the Wheels management team in 2004. As Vice President of Client Relations, Norman oversees Wheels’ Account Management, Client Relations and Account Transition teams, which provide strategic guidance and analytic resources to assist our clients in making informed decisions that improve the performance of their fleets.
With global experience in the outsourcing of end-to-end business processes such as procurement, finance and accounting, human resources and technology, Norman offers expertise in marketing, strategy, research, communications and business development. Norman’s 25+ years of management experience is built with executive positions held at Brigade Corporation, PwC Consulting, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Mesirow Stein Real Estate, Inc. Norman also co-founded an integrated marketing and communications firm, Din & Pangrazio, Inc., which grew to become one of America’s 500 fastest growing privately-held companies in the 1980’s.
Norman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and has completed graduate studies at Stuart School of Management at IIT in management and business administration.
Prentiss Harvey
Vice President of Sales
Prent Harvey joined Wheels in 1997 with several years of experience from American Express, where he managed relationships with major banks headquartered in the southeastern United States. Prent began his career at Wheels as a Regional Sales Manager and received the “Outstanding Sales Growth Award” in 1999. Since then, he has held increasingly important positions including Director of Sales in Four Wheels, and most recently Assistant Vice President of Sales in 2002. In both experiences, Prent managed the eastern half of the U.S., effectively running sales and client retention.
In 2004, Prent was promoted to his current role as Vice President of Sales, and is in charge of managing Wheels’ new business sales organization for the entire U.S.
He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi with a major in Banking and Finance.
Joan Richards
Vice President of Human Resources
Joan joined Wheels in 1997 with 20 years of experience in Employee and Labor Relations at Sara Lee and the Promus Corporation. At Wheels, she is responsible for employee relations, recruiting, compensation and benefits, training and development and organizational design and development.
Joan has a B.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, American Compensation Association, Human Resources Management Association of Chicago, American Society for Training and Development, Human Resources Planning Society and International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Christine Steinberg
Vice President, Customer Service Operations
Christine joined Wheels in 2005, bringing more than 20 years of diverse experience in customer service, operations and finance. She is responsible for leading the Wheels front-line, customer contact departments consisting of Client Services, Driver Services, Maintenance, and Collision in upholding the Wheels legacy for premier customer service.
Christine spent most of her career in the highly competitive and service-oriented cruise industry, holding senior finance and operations positions with upscale brands including Cunard Line and Seabourn Cruise Line. Her experience includes multi-national responsibilities for reservations, air and tour operations, customer relations, employee development and strategic planning. Christine also led large-scale technology projects, managed complex operational mergers, and directed all shoreside tasks outside of the shipyard related to the delivery of the ultra-luxury ocean liner Queen Mary 2.
Christine holds a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California and an M.B.A. from San Francisco State University.
Bill Robinson
Vice President, International
Bill Robinson has been in the fleet industry with Wheels for nine years. He began his career there by managing the re-design of the company website to include new web-based information and transaction tools created specifically for Fleet Managers and Drivers. Bill ran the Marketing Department for Wheels for six years, and held the title of Assistant Vice President of Client Relations before assuming a role as Vice President of International. Bill spends his time addressing strategic fleet issues for our global clients and is responsible for business development in the global fleet market.
Before working at Wheels, Bill was a Marketing Consultant for the Richmark Group in Chicago where he focused on helping companies adjust their marketing and sales strategies to take into account the opportunities and challenges provided by new technologies.
Bill received his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1994.
John Round
Assistant Vice President of Sales
John joined Wheels, with 20 years of sales and sales management experience including Geiger/Herman Miller and Bernhardt. As Assistant Vice President of Sales, John is responsible for business development and the mid-market sales force for the entire US.
John's experience includes serving the needs of clients, specifically those with mid-size fleets and companies with unique fleet needs. Drawing from his background, knowledge, and experience, John provides consultative services to clients and works with the sales force to develop creative fleet solutions.
John has a BA from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago.
